Sakura in Bloom • Hana Residence, KL

Transforming Metalace into a sculptural expression, this custom Sakura installation brings a delicate and artistic presence to the lobby of Hana Residence.

Each Sakura flower is individually crafted from Metalace, shaped into organic petals that create a sense of softness, movement and depth. The translucent metallic texture catches the surrounding light, giving the sculpture a subtle shimmer while maintaining a lightweight visual character.

The installation is suspended using customised display fittings, allowing the individual flowers to float within the lobby space and form a layered composition.

Rather than presenting Metalace simply as an architectural material, this project explores its potential as a medium for artistic expression — demonstrating how its fluid form and adaptable character can be translated into a bespoke sculptural installation.
